The Bureau of Land Management has named a Wyoming consultant who has worked closely in the past with ranchers on federal livestock grazing issues as a senior adviser on public lands.
Brenda Younkin, an owner of Jackson Hole-based Y2 Consultants, will report directly to Jon Raby, BLM’s acting director, according to documents reviewed by POLITICO’s E&E News and two Interior Department officials who were granted anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the matter.
Younkin, who could not be reached for comment, started her new position Wednesday.
BLM declined to comment.
