Senate Republicans want to confirm President Donald Trump’s energy and environment nominees quickly now that they’ve cleared committee.

On Thursday morning, the Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved Interior secretary nominee Doug Burgum and Department of Energy pick Chris Wright.

The chair of that committee, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), said he wants to see the pair reach the floor “pretty quickly — I mean, within the next five to seven days.” He added, “I don’t think there’s any significant reason not to, [it’s] good to have these done.”
