Energy Secretary Chris Wright will be the marquee energy and environment witness on Capitol Hill this week as committees begin weighing President Donald Trump’s fiscal 2027 budget request.

Also on the schedule are Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz and Adam Telle, who heads the Army Corps of Engineers, among others.

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.), chair of the Appropriations Energy-Water Subcommittee, said in recent weeks he was looking forward to questioning Wright.

“We have the secretary on the 15th of April in the big room and could not have a better relationship there, really and with the whole department,” Fleischmann said.
