The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will vote this week on more than a dozen bills, including proposals dealing with agency rulemaking and permitting.
On the agenda is S. 252, the Guidance Out Of Darkness (GOOD) Act, from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), which would require agencies to post all guidance documents in a single, centralized place.
The House last year passed its own version of the bill, H.R. 1515, sponsored by Oversight and Government Reform Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).
Another bill from Johnson, S. 164, would expand the Congressional Review Act to allow lawmakers to undo several administration actions through a single resolution of disapproval. Lawmakers would also be able to approve the resolutions by simple majority for actions finalized during the final year of a president’s term.
