A court in California is delaying the revival of a shuttered pipeline that spewed more than 100,000 gallons of crude oil over Refugio State Beach in 2015.

Last week, the Santa Barbara County Superior Court issued an injunction requiring pipeline owner Sable Offshore to inform the court once it received all outstanding approvals to resume operations of its roughly 120-mile pipeline.

Pipeline opponents will then have a 10-day window to ask the court to take any further action.

“The conditions of the injunction do not allow restart without prior notice,” said Judge Donna Geck.
