Democrats on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee are shifting around some of their subcommittee leaders.
The changes were prompted by lawmakers departing Congress, leaving the committee or other factors.
“With our committee now organized, we’re ready to hit the ground running,” Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), the ranking member of the full committee, said in a Wednesday statement.
“We have a responsibility to uphold scientific integrity and our nation’s prowess as the leader in science and technology. I intend to do just that and look forward to doing it alongside my colleagues.”
