Jeff McClure, a financial adviser previously based in Dallas with Commerce Street Capital, has joined the Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office as a senior adviser.

“Jeff McClure is a senior advisor to LPO, where he will work with the LPO team in delivering on the President’s agenda to unleash American energy dominance, ensuring the American people have access to reliable, affordable, and secure energy,” DOE spokesperson Olivia Tinari told POLITICO’s E&E News.

McClure’s LinkedIn page lists him as a managing director at Commerce Street, an investment firm that targets oil and gas companies and many other industries. McClure joined the firm in 2021. Prior to Commerce Street, McClure worked at AssuredPartners and other firms.
