Even though conventional wisdom spells that Congress doesn’t get much done during an election year, lawmakers are entering what could be their busiest work period in months.

Reporters Amelia Davidson, Andy Picon, Nico Portuondo and Josh Siegel discussed the path forward for permitting reform, the highway bill, data center legislation and so much more.

“It’s still a long shot,” Josh said about permitting. “We’ve seen deals feel close in the past … and it just doesn’t get there.” He added, “The difference this time is data centers, growing power demand, sort of that context. We didn’t have that last time.”
