EPA’s senior adviser for agriculture is leaving the agency.
Rod Snyder said in an internal email obtained by POLITICO’s E&E News that his last day at EPA is Wednesday. At the agency, he led outreach to the farming community and tackled tough issues such as the renewable fuels standard and pesticide regulations.
“Serving as EPA Ag Advisor for the past three years has truly been the honor of my career,” Snyder said in his farewell email to staff Monday. “There’s no question that this has been a consequential and historic period of time for our agency.”
He listed milestones accomplished under his watch, including releasing a food loss and waste national strategy as well as distributing federal funding for rural drinking water systems and climate-smart agriculture.
