EPA is offering employees in its Office of Research and Development yet another opportunity to apply for the “early out” program.

The agency’s “additional round of the Deferred Resignation Program and Volunteer Early Retirement Authority” is available to “all ORD employees except those who have been selected for reassignments to other programs in the upcoming reorganizations,” according to an email sent to staffers late Friday afternoon viewed by POLITICO’s E&E News.

Other exclusions include staffers in “national security and public safety positions,” public health officers, phased retirees, consultants, reemployed annuitants and special government employees, according to the email, which is signed by the Office of the Administrator.

Employees can apply for the offer between Monday and 11:59 p.m. ET next Friday, the email says. Their separation would take effect Dec. 31.
