EPA moved to terminate tens of millions of dollars’ worth of grants to industries including cement, wood and glass as it implements President Donald Trump’s drive to slash spending.

Documents released to the Sierra Club under the Freedom of Information Act and shared with POLITICO’s E&E News offer new details about the funding cuts driven by the Trump administration and its so-called Department of Government Efficiency.

While EPA under Administrator Lee Zeldin has cut off major grants to environmental justice organizations and diversity-based initiatives, groups in the manufacturing world — a sector Trump has vowed to support — are caught in the crosshairs, according to the list of dozens of canceled or terminated grants.
