Congressional biofuel supporters reintroduced legislation Thursday to lift seasonal restrictions on the sale of 15-percent ethanol fuel blends.
The long-sought legislation, called the “Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act,” would allow sales of E15 year-round throughout the country.
Current regulations prevent its sale in summer in most places, although EPA has been able to temporarily waive the prohibition to relieve high gas prices in certain situations.
