Tony Irish left a decadeslong career at the Interior Department earlier this year after a fight with the Trump administration’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency.

Irish, who joined Interior as a financial specialist in 2004, was an associate solicitor for the Division of General Law earlier this year when he made headlines for clashing with members of the Elon Musk-led downsizing team over access to a federal payroll system database.

Irish ultimately left the department in September, according to his LinkedIn profile.
