More than 200 Republican administration and campaign alumni endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, including prominent names in environment and energy issues.

Staffers and officials who once worked for President George W. Bush and former GOP presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain, who died in 2018, released a letter endorsing Harris for president and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for vice president.

The 238 signatories cited the Jan. 6 riot on the Capitol and Project 2025 as reasons to oppose former President Donald Trump’s reelection bid.

“Another four years of Donald Trump’s chaotic leadership, this time focused on advancing the dangerous goals of Project 2025, will hurt real, everyday people and weaken our sacred institutions,” the letter read.
