Former Markey aide to lead firm’s energy practice

A former spokesperson for liquefied natural gas exporter Cheniere Energy and Democratic Sen. Ed Markey is now leading the energy practice for a Washington communications firm.

Eben Burnham-Snyder, who most recently led public affairs at Cheniere for eight years, is now a managing director at the Signal Group, the firm announced Wednesday.

“During a volatile yet vital and opportunistic period for the U.S. energy industry, Signal is fortunate to have Eben join our team as an accomplished, skilled leader ready to help guide our energy clients through it all,” Chelsea Koski, Signal’s president, said in a statement.

Burnham-Snyder said his “goal at Signal is for our clients to turn worrying into winning by helping them navigate difficult public affairs challenges and mitigate reputational risk.”
