Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm took to the campaign trail to defend President Joe Biden after his widely panned debate performance last week.

Granholm, the former governor of Michigan, joined Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) at a barbecue in Canton, Michigan, on Sunday, organized by the Biden campaign. It was one of what Biden’s reelection campaign said were more than 1,500 events in a “Weekend of Action” following the debate against former President Donald Trump.

“Ninety minutes of a challenged performance … does not take away 3 ½ years of an excellent presidency,” Granholm told voters, according to the Michigan Advance.
