A major national environmental group is hiring senior climate attorneys as the group prepares for legal battles against the Trump administration’s deregulatory agenda.
The Natural Resources Defense Council is “building up a kick ass team of Clean Air Act litigators to fight back against the ‘greatest day of deregulation our nation has ever seen,’” NRDC senior attorney Meredith Hankins posted on LinkedIn.
Trump EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin proclaimed March 12 the “greatest day of deregulation” in U.S. history as he announced his agency’s plans to roll back or reconsider dozens of environmental rules. The Trump administration, Zeldin said, is “driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion.”
NRDC has posted job ads for one senior climate attorney with at least seven years of experience (with an annual salary range of $130,000 to $140,000). The group is also looking to hire a second senior climate attorney with at least 10 years of experience for a three-year position (annual salary range $150,000 to $170,000).
