Environmental groups are shelling out money in the final weeks before Election Day to help House Republicans, while another group announced that it had reached a financial milestone in the 2024 races.

EDF Action Votes, a super political action committee affiliated with the Environmental Defense Fund, has spent more than $140,000 in recent weeks on mailings and other efforts against the Republican opponent of Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.).

The group is also spending to help Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a moderate Republican from Pennsylvania, in a race against a Democratic challenger.
