Swedish activist Greta Thunberg clapped back at U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday after he described her as a “strange” and “angry” person over her mission to deliver aid to Gaza.

“I think the world needs many more young angry women, to be honest,” Thunberg said as she arrived in Paris after being deported from Israel. “Especially with everything going on right now. That’s the thing we need the most of.”

Thunberg departed Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning on a flight to France after Israeli authorities the day before intercepted a boat she was on bound for Gaza.

She was part of a mission organized by the pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla Coalition that departed Italy on June 1 to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, which faces a hunger crisis caused by Israel’s ongoing war against Hamas militants in the coastal enclave. Left-wing French-Palestinian Member of European Parliament Rima Hassan was also in the maritime delegation.
