House Natural Resources ranking member Raúl Grijalva has completed his cancer treatment, the Arizona Democrat announced Wednesday.
In a post on social media platform X, Grijalva said he has “finished my cancer treatment for now and continue working to get physically stronger.”
The Democrat has been absent from Capitol Hill since April when he announced he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. Grijalva has since told the Arizona Daily Star he is battling lung cancer.
He has remained active in committee business, often firing off letters to administration officials, while other top panel Democrats help lead hearings in person.
