The late Democratic Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva’s daughter is running in the special election to succeed him.

Adelita Grijalva, who sits on the Pima County Board of Supervisors, announced her candidacy Monday, emphasizing her progressive record and her roots in southern Arizona.

“Donald Trump, Elon Musk and their gang of billionaires are destroying our nation. They’re destroying our schools. They’re attacking our most sacred rights. They’re poisoning our environment,” she said in a video Monday.
