The League of Conservation Voters launched a $4 million ad campaign Tuesday against Republicans who voted for last year’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

The spots focus on the law’s phase-out of renewable energy tax credits, something Democrats and environmentalists say is leaving the U.S. vulnerable at a time of rising demand for electricity.

“Congressional Republicans broke their promise to lower energy costs. Instead of increasing access to affordable, clean energy, Congressional Republicans voted to kneecap the resources that can lower energy costs in order to prioritize the fossil fuel industry,” said Sara Chieffo, LCV’s government affairs senior vice president.

The ads target a host of vulnerable Republicans like Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.), who has long opposed incentives to promote renewable energy, and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa), who worked to protect at least some of the tax incentives.
