The leader of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers has left the prominent public lands advocacy group after less than two years on the job.
Patrick Berry, who started as president and CEO of the Montana-based group in January 2024, left effective July 25 “to pursue new opportunities and focus on personal priorities,” Backcountry Hunters and Anglers said in announcing his departure this week.
Ryan Callaghan, who chairs BHA’s North American board of directors, said “we respect and support Patrick’s decision to pursue his goals closer to home with full focus.”
Berry lives in Vermont.
