President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Defense appears poised to roll back bipartisan climate initiatives at the Pentagon.

Pete Hegseth’s Tuesday nomination hearing was largely devoid of policy discussion, as Democratic senators opted to grill the former Fox News host on personal scandals and perceived lack of leadership experience.

Still, in one exchange, Hegseth suggested climate change would not be a Pentagon priority under his leadership.
