House lawmakers will get their first chance Tuesday to highlight their priorities for the Department of Energy, Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation in fiscal 2026 spending bills.

The Energy-Water Appropriations Subcommittee will host a “member day” hearing Tuesday, kicking off a new round of talks on energy and water infrastructure funding as the Trump administration and congressional Republicans move to gut many of those programs.

Two other Appropriations Committee hearings next week that were set to include testimony from the secretaries of Agriculture and Veterans Affairs were postponed.
