A House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee will hold the latest in a series of hearings on the energy needs of artificial intelligence and related technologies.

The Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy and Regulatory Affairs, led by Missouri Republican Rep. Eric Burlison, is calling the hearing Tuesday, “America’s AI Moonshot: The Economics of AI, Data Centers, and Power Consumption.”

Panel aides said the discussion will focus on the reforms necessary to ensure that the United States leads on AI. Lawmakers and the administration have expressed concern about energy shortfalls hurting the U.S. position.
