The House is slated to vote this week on legislation to overturn a pair of Biden administration energy efficiency regulations for refrigerators, as well as a series of bipartisan energy research bills.

The efficiency rules would be undone by a pair of resolutions under the Congressional Review Act — H.J. Res. 24 and H.J. Res. 75 — which allows lawmakers to quickly overturn regulations.

The Department of Energy published the standards in the final weeks of President Joe Biden’s term. One set of rules applies to walk-in coolers and freezers, and the other to commercial refrigerators and freezers.
