Several Democrats joined House Republicans on Thursday to eliminate a pair of Biden administration Department of Energy efficiency regulations.

Also, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chair Mike Lee (R-Utah) is taking aim at Internal Revenue Service rules implementing Inflation Reduction Act incentives.

House lawmakers voted for two resolutions — H.J. Res. 24 and H.J. Res. 75 — that would undo refrigerator energy standards using the Congressional Review Act, a method that allows lawmakers to roll back new rules by simple majority. The first resolution passed 203-182; the second 214-195.
