The Trump administration may kill seven hubs, including one in West Virginia.

Senate Environment and Public Works Chair Shelley Moore Capito said Tuesday she was concerned about the Trump administration’s plan to cut green energy funding after a new list surfaced targeting hundreds of projects — including one in her state.

An internal Department of Energy list — obtained by POLITICO’s E&E News — shows that the White House may be eyeing the cancellation of hundreds of grants approved under President Joe Biden. That list is in addition to the $7.56 billion purge of awards already announced last week by White House budget director Russ Vought.

Among the new targets is the $925 million ARCH2 hub in West Virginia, along with every other hydrogen hub project that was initially spared from last week’s cuts.

“Yeah, I’m worried — it’s a big deal for us,” Capito said when asked about the hub’s uncertain future, adding that she hadn’t seen the new list yet.
