Interior Secretary Doug Burgum’s top aides include a longtime adviser from North Dakota, former energy industry officials and a Department of Government Efficiency adviser.

That’s according to a comprehensive list of the secretary’s staff released this week in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. The list of political appointees working in Burgum’s office offers a comprehensive roster of aides working for Burgum as his team pledges to pursue an “energy dominance” agenda as it eyes a sweeping overhaul to the department.

Some of Burgum’s political appointees have been announced publicly and others have been named in public documents. But many of the department’s senior staffers have not been announced or listed on the department’s website, marking a departure from past administrations.

The records released by the department this week show employees who were listed as staffers in Burgum’s office earlier this year. The Interior Department did not respond to a request for comment about whether any of the staffers have left the agency or changed positions after the list was produced, and the employee list did not include detailed job titles.
