Spenser Horton, a staffer for Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chair Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.), is moving to the Bipartisan Policy Center.
Horton on Tuesday will begin serving as a senior media relations manager focused on energy policy at the centrist think tank. His last day with the committee is Friday.
As the majority press secretary for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Horton focused on communications around Manchin’s energy policy work, as well as serving other Democrats on the panel.
That included some of the most thorny issues on Capitol Hill — permitting reform to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission nominees and the senator’s pushback on implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act’s electric vehicle tax incentives.
