Ed Chu, a longtime EPA executive, is leaving the agency.

Chu, who is the deputy regional administrator in EPA’s Midwest office, said his final day with the agency will be Nov. 14, according to a LinkedIn post. He has served more than 30 years at EPA, including in several of its regional branches as well as a founding member for the children’s health office.

“This decision comes with deep reflection and a full heart,” Chu said in the post from last week. “It has been an extraordinary honor to serve this country and people — working to protect public health and the environment.”
