Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chair Mike Lee expressed interest Monday in working on a permitting overhaul, as other lawmakers and advocates wonder how much he’ll engage in bipartisan talks.

Lee voiced openness to negotiating on permitting earlier this year. At the same time, he has clashed with ranking member Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and has spoken against broad legislative packages.
