MISO’s longtime president to retire

John Bear, MISO’s CEO, will assume the role of president Jan. 1, MISO said in a statement.

Clair Moeller, president of the Midwest power grid operator, will retire at the end of December, the organization announced Thursday.

Moeller, who also served as chief operating officer, has led the Midcontinent Independent System Operator for the past two decades.

The leadership transition will begin immediately, with Moeller serving as a strategic adviser for the rest of the year.
