Senators will weigh more than a dozen of President Donald Trump’s energy and environment nominees on the floor and in committee this week.
The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will question Ho Nieh to fill one of the two empty spots on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The panel will also hear from Douglas Troutman, nominee to oversee the EPA office charged with evaluating and authorizing uses of pesticides and industrial chemicals.
Nieh, a Republican, has extensive experience in nuclear regulation and has held multiple senior roles at the agency. He joined NRC in 1997.
