Senate Republicans are accusing EPA of giving a major grant to an organization they accuse of antisemitism.

The agency in December said it had picked the Climate Justice Alliance to received $50 million to be a national Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaker.

The money, funded under the Inflation Reduction Act, is intended to support efforts to address the impact of energy production and other activities on disadvantaged communities.

Climate Justice Alliance has participated extensively in pro-Palestinian causes, particularly following the deadly Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and Israel’s war in Gaza.
