Republicans announce new E&C subcommittee chairs

The House Energy and Commerce Committee will feature fresh faces atop three subcommittees.

House Republicans on the Energy and Commerce Committee announced a shake-up of leadership on a series of key subcommittees that deal with energy and the environment.

Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) will serve as chair on the Energy, Climate and Grid Security Subcommittee, while Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-Va.) will take over as chair on the Environment, Manufacturing and Critical Materials Subcommittee.

In addition, former House Republican Policy Chair Gary Palmer (R-Ala.) will take the chairmanship of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.

“Our subcommittee Chairs and Vice Chairs will be instrumental in getting our America First agenda across the board all while ensuring the American Dream is still within reach for families and small businesses,” incoming committee Chair Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.) said in a statement.
