A House Natural Resources subcommittee on Wednesday will discuss how to make American energy “dominant” as Republicans craft pieces of a sweeping budget reconciliation bill to ramp up fossil fuel production.

On the same day, Democrats will host an “issues forum” on President Donald Trump’s cuts to NOAA as they seek to highlight widespread angst over the administration’s rapid reductions in the federal workforce led by Elon Musk.

The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, led by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), will hold the hearing titled “Unleashing the Golden Age of American Energy Dominance,” a nod to President Donald Trump’s assertions that he will usher in the “golden age of America.”
