The Senate will start the week Monday with another vote against a Biden administration rule as lawmakers approach a legal deadline to repeal recent agency actions by simple majority.

Both chambers voted on at least eight different Congressional Review Act resolutions last week, including against energy efficiency and air pollution rules the previous administration issued during its final months in office.

The House last week also moved to take back Biden EPA approval for three California vehicle emissions rules that would encourage the adoptions of electric cars in that state and beyond. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has yet to say whether he will defy the chamber’s parliamentarian and take up the issue.

The upper chamber will take a procedural vote Monday evening on H.J. Res 61, from Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-Va.), which would repeal updated air toxics standards for tire manufacturers. The measure cleared the House in March on a mostly party-line vote.
