More than 100 nominees closer to being confirmed

The Senate will take a final vote as soon as Tuesday on a second tranche of Trump administration nominees — more than 100 in total.

The list includes Laura Swett and David LaCerte to serve on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Neil Jacobs to lead NOAA.

Because the nominees are advancing under new Senate rules, confusion about the process led groups and some media outlets to believe the picks were confirmed Friday.

Instead, the Senate took another procedural vote Monday, advancing the nominees 50-45 along party lines.
