The Senate has been working almost exclusively on nominees since it returned from the August recess, and it appears poised to continue that agenda this week.
The chamber will vote to confirm Kevin Ritz to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Lawmakers voted 49-42 on Friday to wind down debate. Ritz is currently assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Tennessee.
Also on tap for floor votes are Margaret Taylor to be State Department legal adviser and Mary Costello to become judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is looking to advance more nominees, including Ryan Park to serve on the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
