Senate lines up action on DOE, NOAA, Interior nominees

The Senate will return from an abbreviated Independence Day recess Tuesday to vote on Wells Griffith for an undersecretary position at the Department of Energy.

Also this week, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will vote on Nuclear Regulatory Commission and EPA nominees.

The Energy and Natural Resources Committee will take up more DOE and Interior Department nominees. And the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee will question top NOAA picks.

Griffith, who worked at DOE and the White House during the first Trump administration, would become undersecretary of Energy at the department.
