David Wright could return to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as soon as next week, with the Senate putting his nomination on the agenda for the coming days.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) moved Thursday to wind down debate on Wright. A procedural vote is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday and a final roll call just hours later.

President Donald Trump tapped Wright to chair the commission and stay for another term, but the Senate didn’t act before his time expired at the end of June.
