Senate moves to take up EPA, Interior, Energy nominees

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has moved to take up President Donald Trump’s nominees for EPA administrator and secretaries of Interior and Energy.

Thune filed a motion to wind down debate on former Rep. Lee Zeldin for EPA, former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum for Interior and executive Chris Wright for Energy.

All three passed their respective committees with at least some bipartisan support, could be confirmed by the end of the week.

The Senate is moving at a fast clip in confirming Trump’s picks, after clearing Defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth and Homeland Security pick Kristi Noem over the weekend.
