The Senate will vote Wednesday on whether to undo the Trump administration’s approval last year of a South Dakota air pollution plan.

The chamber will decide whether to take up a Congressional Review Act resolution, S.J. Res. 86, from Environment and Public Works ranking member Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), against EPA’s approval of a South Dakota regional haze plan.

The haze program seeks to reduce pollution particles to increase visibility in more than 150 national parks and wilderness areas, most of them in the West.

The legislation is unlikely to advance in the Republican-controlled Senate. The CRA makes it easier for lawmakers to repeal newly finalized rules.
