Doug Emhoff is a huge fan of national parks.
The second gentleman has visited national parks in Wyoming, Utah and Oregon — and even one in Zambia — since his wife became vice president.
He has called the parks “our nation’s greatest treasures,” wished the National Park Service a happy birthday on Instagram and urged his social media followers to post their best national park selfies.
The interests and policy positions of Emhoff and his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, are getting increased scrutiny this week after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and as Democrats are rallying behind Harris to take his place.
