President-elect Donald Trump named his picks for senior jobs in the White House Office of Management and Budget and the State Department on Tuesday as he continues to roll out staff announcements.

Trump is nominating Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) to serve as deputy director for budget at the OMB, he said Tuesday in a statement. Ed Martin will serve as chief of staff for that office, Trump said.

The president-elect has picked Jacob Helberg — an author and tech adviser — to serve as the undersecretary of State for economic growth, energy and the environment, Trump announced.

Bishop and Martin are now poised to join the White House budget office that Trump envisions playing a key role in limiting the size of the federal bureaucracy. Trump has tapped former OMB Director Russ Vought to return to lead that shop and has said the office will work closely with the so-called Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
