Trump does not want a lift in your hydrogen car

“When it blows up, you are no longer. Your wife cannot identify you,” the former president said as he warned against hydrogen-fueled vehicles.

Add hydrogen-powered cars to the list of things former President Donald Trump dislikes.

The ex-president has been dropping increasingly graphic horror stories about exploding hydrogen-fueled vehicles on the campaign trail. The vehicles are the latest green-energy technology to become targets for Trump’s ire. He has previously falsely claimed that windmills cause cancer, drive whales crazy and kill “all the birds.”

The “new thing is hydrogen,” Trump said during a Pennsylvania rally Sunday. “They have one problem: On occasion, it will blow up. And when it blows up, you are not recognizable. No, you’re not even recognizable. This is like a massive bomb-bang drop. When it blows up, you are no longer. Your wife cannot identify you, let me put it that way. ‘Is this your husband?’ As they show you blood. ‘Is this your husband?’

“So that’s a problem they’re going to have to work out, I think. But they say that’s the new up-and-coming thing. So far, I’m not interested,” he said.
