A familiar face has rejoined EPA as the agency plows ahead on its deregulatory agenda.
Justin Schwab is back at the agency as a senior adviser to the administrator. He served in the first Trump administration as deputy general counsel at EPA and most recently was general counsel at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Schwab, an attorney well-versed in environmental laws and regulations, was part of the conservative-led planning to reshape EPA after President Donald Trump’s reelection.
“We are excited to have Justin return to EPA and look forward to having him on the team as the agency continues to advance the president’s agenda under Administrator [Lee] Zeldin’s leadership,” EPA spokesperson Carolyn Holran said. “His years of experience and expertise will be an asset to do so.”
