The health movement pioneered by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has burgeoned into a whole-of-government crackdown on the toxic substances causing chronic diseases.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday afternoon to establish the “Make America Healthy Again” commission, tasking more than a dozen agencies with a mission to “ensure our healthcare system promotes health rather than just managing disease,” the order says.

The commission includes leaders of EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Office of Management and Budget, the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and a variety of health-focused agencies.

The order says the commission’s goal is to champion “gold-standard research” free from corporate influence.
